Ernest August Boevers

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Ernest August Boevers on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at the age of 93 years.  Ernest was born on February, 20th, 1933 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Herman August and Cora Eileen; brother-in-law, Douglas Albert (Chub) Nicolle; and nephew, Douglas; and wife, Jeannette.  Ernest will be missed by his sister, Marjorie Nicolle; his fishing and hunting friends: Jeff Bennett, Dale Pratt, Ray Hoover, John Alexander, and Bill Reiman; Jax and Pyro the dogs; as well as the Breakfast Club, MJ Seniors, and all of his coffee buddies.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St Joseph’s Hospital in Gravelbourg, SK for the care they provided during his final days.

A Celebration of Ernest’s Life will be held on Thursday, July 9th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  A private family interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery.  Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ernest’s name may be made to the South Saskatchewan Wildlife Association, Box 1464, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4N3.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
