Thomas “Norris” Frank

Thomas “Norris” Frank aged 92 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026.  Born on July 15th, 1934 on the farm at Bateman, SK, he was the oldest of four children born to Thomas and Agatha (née: Dueck) Frank.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Wayne; brothers-in-law: Vern Janecke, Ray Johnson, and Donald (Judy) Harris; and sister-in-law, Mary (Arnold) Hoffman.  Norris is survived by his wife of 68 years, Juanita (née: Harris); daughter, Sonya (Garry) Bitz; son, Stephen (Melissa) Frank; grandchildren: Adam (Shelby) Curtis, Alyssa Curtis, Evan Curtis (Kristen), Cynara (Justin) Dirk, Logan (Deserie) Bitz, Justys (Sidney) Frank, and Elijah Frank; great-grandchildren, Hunter Eberle and Isabella Curtis; sister, Barbara Janecke; brother, Leonard Frank (Fay); sisters-in-law: Sheila (Wilfred) Buchanan, Wendy Johnson, and Judy Harris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Norris was never one to sit still and held a number of occupations, beginning with road construction.  He attended Millar Memorial Bible College at Pambrun, graduated from Barber School in 1963, and worked as a barber out of the front porch of their home in Morse, SK for number of years.  A natural born salesman, Norris sold fire alarms, Amway, and Shaklee to create extra income.  They would later move to Moose Jaw where he worked for Crescent Furniture before starting a successful career in Life Insurance with London Life, Crown Life, and Wawanesa.  He also owned several rental properties in the community, along with being an avid gardener and hunter.

Norris’ faith was always his core focus, and he was active in the West End Gospel Church which became the Sunningdale AGC, where he held numerous leadership roles on the building committee and board of elders, and was an active member of the Gideon’s.  Always willing to help wherever there was a need, whether it was driving Sunday School bus or shingling a roof.  In his later years, Norris and Juanita became active members of Calvary Baptist Church where he enjoyed the men’s weekly meetings.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Moose Jaw Special Care Home and Pioneer Lodge for their many acts of kindness.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 18th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Elger officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Cara Ashworth, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
