Lillian June Wostradowski

Lillian June Wostradowski passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the Ross Payant Nursing Home in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. 

Lillian was born on June 25, 1929, to Peter and Mabel Anderson and grew up on the family farm near Briercrest, Saskatchewan. As a young woman, she worked as a telephone operator in Regina. On October 25, 1952, she married Adam Wostradowski, and together they began their life on a farm. In 1956, they sold the farm and moved to Moose Jaw, where they raised their family. 

Lillian enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was actively involved in her community. She volunteered with Sunday School and at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles. A devoted homemaker, she took great pride in preparing wonderful meals for her family and was always supportive and encouraging of her children. Following Adam’s passing, she continued to live independently until March 2025. 

Lillian was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Mabel Anderson; her husband, Adam; her brothers, Melvin and Donald; her sisters, Agnes, Anna, Helen, and Alice; and her daughter-in-law, Renee Wostradowski. 

She is lovingly remembered by her four children: Karen Radu, David, Wade (Merry), and Mark; her grandchildren: Jesse Radu (Laura), Joshua Radu (Marissa), Laura Wostradowski, Nicole Wostradowski, and Jay Carriss (Samantha); and her great-grandchildren: Astrid, Gibson, Maxten, Weslyn, Emma, Aurora, and Odin. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marie Anderson, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

A Funeral Service for Lillian will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Health Foundation 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2.
