Donna Lynn Heron

With great sadness, the family of Donna Lynn Heron announces her passing at the age of 80 years, on Monday, May 11th, 2026, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Over the years Lynn worked many jobs in customer service, always bringing her warmth, humour, and kindness to the people she met.  She found her calling at Valleyview Centre, where she poured her heart into caring for others.  Looking after people wasn’t just something she did, it was who she was.  If someone needed help, a warm meal, or simply a good chat, she was there without hesitation.

Lynn had passions that brought her joy – her beautiful and extensive doll collection, each one chosen with pride, her Coca-Cola treasures that filled her shelves, and the simple happiness of entertaining the people she loved.  Her home was a place where stories were told, meals were shared, and laughter lived n every corner.

She was predeceased by her son, Alvin; parents, Roland and Violet Donnelly; brother, David Donnelly; grandson, Tre Blacklaws; niece, Angela Sather; and nephew, Patrick Donnelly.  Lynn is survived by her daughter, Keri (Terry) Blacklaws; grandsons, Darian Gardner and Justin (Mercedes) Gardner; great-grandson, Jacob Gardner; nieces: Maureen (Kim) Morrison, Shannon (Kevin) Slade, and Sophia Rosenbloom; and nephew, Michael (Kelsey) Donnelly.

Lynn will be remembered for her humour, her stubborn streak, her kindness, and the way she made people feel cared for.  She leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and love.

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, “Peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

A service to honour Lynn will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Shirese Noble Funeral Director 306-693-4550
