Leslie Threadgill 

David William Fox (Foxy), aged 71 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Sunday, May 10th, 2026, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by his loved ones as he crossed the finish line of his final marathon.  Born on May 14th, 1954, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to George and Margaret Fox (née: Goalen), David graduated from Albert E. Peacock Collegiate.  He continued his education at the Wascana Institute of Applied Science in Regina, SK where he earned his accounting certificate.  David worked in Moose Jaw as an accountant, specializing in tax accounting for over 40 years.  

David was known for his passion for running.  He completed multiple marathons and ultra-marathons, most notably, Boston, Chicago, New York, Powderface, Sinister 7, and the Canadian Death Race.  One of his most memorable was completing the Reykjavik Marathon with his wife and children.  David loved spending time gardening and relaxing in his backyard.  He also enjoyed playing crib with family and friends.  David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He is an inspiration to all who know him.  David persevered through all of life’s ups and downs with a positive attitude right to the end.  

David will be deeply missed by his wife, Loni Fox (née: Chow); his daughter, Sage (Ryan) Fox-Schaffer and daughter, Ruby; his son, Geordie (Stephanie) Fox and children: Adley, Georgia, and Isaac; his daughter, Alix (Daryl) Fox; and his brother and sisters: Doug, Liz, Joanne, and Linda.  He was predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret Fox; his aunt, Ruby Bishop; and his brother, Lloyd Fox.  

A Come-and-Go Tea will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home to celebrate David’s life.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200-325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB T2E 2P5.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
