LILLIAN EDITH CARVER (née: Olson)
August 25th, 1942 – February 26th, 2026
Peacefully and comfortably, in the company of her daughter and caregivers at Chateau St. Michael’s, on the evening of Thursday, February 26th, 2026, Lillian Edith Carver passed from this world, after her second battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Eugene Carver in 2006; parents, Ray and Isabel Olson; in-laws, Jim and Sue Carver; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Olson. Lillian leaves behind her daughter, Kirstin Bonito and son-in-law Ricardo; granddaughters, Marisol and Annika Bonito; brothers: Ron Olson, Murray Olson (Susan), and Darren Olson (Dawn); sister, Fran Maher (Bruce); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and friends and relatives in many places across the country.
Family and friendship were everything to Lillian. She was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. After high school, she moved to Regina, SK where she was working as a bank teller when she met her husband Arnold Carver, who at the time was in training at the RCMP academy. On October 28th, 1967, they began their married life in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Kirstin arrived on the scene shortly thereafter, and they moved though several Manitoba communities throughout the years, including Emerson, Leaf Rapids, Stonewall, Killarney, and Dauphin.
Lillian was always active in the CWL, and from the late 1980’s onward also in Beta Sigma Phi sorority activities. She also did some volunteer work with Girl Guides of Canada. In the mid 90’s, Lillian obtained a college diploma in Business Administration and worked as a secretary for ARC Industries in Dauphin.
On Arnold’s retirement, they moved to Winnipeg, MB and then Moose Jaw where they settled. Lillian continued to live an active, happy life in the community in Moose Jaw until her passing.
Lillian loved her friends and family dearly. She dealt with all of life’s challenges with grace, and calm rationality. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Many thanks to Allan Blair Cancer Centre, her excellent caregivers at Chateau St Michael’s, and all of her friends who visited and supported her through her illness.

Kirsten, Ricardo & family, Sincere condolences from all your ICU colleagues in Ontario. You are in our thoughts & prayers.
Arnie and Lillian Carver were very dear friends. In fact, Arnie was my best man. Lill would often chastise us for our rough play but that’s the way we were. We would always watch each other’s back.
Rest Peacefully!

We send our sincere sympathy to Kirstin and the Olson family. I met your mom and enjoyed her friendship through Beta Sigma Phi while we all lived in Dauphin. I feel sad we never reconnected after we moved from Dauphin as we are both originally from Moose Jaw and spend time their visiting family! Lillian was a wonderful person. RIP Lillian

I am so sad that you are gone. We have been friends for years and you were also such a great Avon customer. You were so strong and forward thinking and thinking of others, your family were so lucky to have had you. My very deepest sympathy to all your family. You will be so missed. Great hugs to all.
My condolences on the passing of Lillian Olson, one of the good-looking Olson family kids on Coteau Street, South Hill Moose Jaw. She was obviously a well-liked person.
Lil is my lovely friend through Beta Sigma Phi. Always pleasant and accepting, she is one of a kind. I will not be in town for the service, but send my condolences to her family
Preceptor Beta Chapter would like to express our condolence to Kris and family. Lil was much loved in our chapter and we will miss her.
Thank you for being such an amazing Auntie. Your quiet strength, kindness, and steady love will always stay with me.
May the Creator welcome you home and may you walk peacefully with the ancestors. I know those who went before you were waiting with open arms to be reunited with you, especially Uncle Arnie.
While our hearts miss you deeply here, we will take it from here. We will watch over Krissy and her family just as you always watched over me, carrying forward the love and care you gave so freely.
Travel gently, Auntie. May the ancestors walk beside you on your journey.
Kisâkihitin.
I love you.
Words seem inadequate to express the love and kindness Aunt Lil shared. I’m lucky to have special memories of time spent. My condolences to Kris and her family.

On behalf of my sister Carolee, Judy and me, please accept our sincere condolences. Judy and I quite enjoyed our visitations with Lil in recent years on our trips to Moose Jaw. She was a lovely lady in so many ways and a joy to talk with on those visits. We know she will live on in your hearts forever.
On behalf of Sheila and myself, I wish to extend our sincere condolences on Lillian’s passing. Arnie played a very important role in my life as a member of the RCMP and particularly ERT. Despite Arnie’s ‘tough’ demeanor we all knew who was really the boss…may God bless Lillian. Enjoy your new start with Arnie.
