Katherine (Kay) Caroline Belisle

Katherine (Kay) Caroline Belisle (née: Huber), born February 11th, 1932, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20th, 2026, at the age of 94 years.

Kay was born and raised on the farm outside of Spring Valley, Saskatchewan.  She moved to Moose Jaw, SK and worked at the Providence Hospital and Exchange Café for a brief time.  She met her husband, Ray, in Moose Jaw and they were married in October 1952.  Together they had nine children.

Kay worked hard in the home raising her children while somehow still finding time to enjoy watching baseball, listening to various kinds of music, and going to dances and various functions around town.  She liked sewing, crocheting, bowling, and playing cards with friends and family.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In the later part of her life, Kay loved enjoying a cup of coffee and bingo with her friends at Points West Living where she resided with Ray.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Randy; sons, Bob and Rod; parents, Christian and Bertha Huber (née: Schick); brothers: Alfred, John, and Harold Huber; infant sister, Matilda; sisters: Rose Krushel, Pearl White, Ann Arksey, Margie Thronberg, Doreen Huber, and Irene Drockner; mother and father-in-law, Donat and Laura Belisle; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.  Kay is survived by her children: Sharon (Greg) Montgomery, Dennis (Marion) Belisle, Clarice (Jeff) Montgomery, Lorie (Vic) Tuplin, and Terry (Jody) Belisle; daughter-in-law, Beth Belisle; grandchildren: Scott (Jen), Jason (Amanda), Brock (Brianne), Todd (Lauren), Blaine, Denny (Kerry), Michael (Amber), Lisa (Jeff), Thomas (Pam), Christian (Amber), Eric (Rachel), Paul (Adam), Jamie (Jayme), Darren, Kate (Michael), Cody (Brooke), Stacey, Dean (Joy), Faith (Taylor), Presley (Jessie), Brieanne, Michael (Ali), Stephanie (Jon), and Brittanie (Nick); 33 great-grandchildren; sisters, Freda Fockler and Marie Anderson; brother, Fred Huber; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the medicine ward at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital and Moose Jaw Care Home for the wonderful care of our mother.  We would also like to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to Dr. H.V. Rinnisland for all the compassionate and dedicated care shown to mom.

She will be lovingly missed.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate, and interment will take place in Sunset Cemetery at a later date.  Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Michelle Ellis, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
