Betty Louise Chartrand
Betty Louise Chartrand (née: McKee) aged 87 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born October 28th, 1938 in Prince Albert, SK. As a small child, her family moved to the family farm near Rockglen, SK. She grew up into a beautiful young lady. During her early working days, Betty met George Chartrand, the love of her life. The two married on November 29th, 1957. Together they moved to Moose Jaw where they settled and raised their four children.
Betty worked at Westmount IGA until her retirement. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, George on April 23rd, 2005; and her son, Miles on August 5th, 2020. Betty is survived by her children: Dwight (Lisa), Deb (Lloyd), and Russell (Caroline); grandchildren: Lynnsey (Mike), Jessi (Huck), Zac (Jackie), Dustin (Aleida), Shelaine (Devon), Jaxon, Jorde, Caleb, and Damian; many great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Betty’s name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK S4T 7T1.
