Cindy Lynn Tower

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cindy Lynn Tower (née: Tyacke), aged 64 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, announce her passing, after a brief illness, on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, with her family by her side.  Cindy was born May 31st, 1961 to Mary Tyacke (née: Porsnuk) and Tilmon Tyacke, in Porcupine Plain, SK, the youngest of 4 children.

Cindy and her family lived in Weekes, SK until 1972 when they moved to Hudson Bay, SK.  She participated in intramurals, basketball, baseball, volleyball, badminton, gymnastics club, yearbook, Red Cross, drama, and candy striping.  Once high school was done Cindy moved to Moose Jaw, SK with friends, and didn’t take long to start her new adventure.

An extrovert who never met a stranger, Cindy would often strike up a friendly conversation with anyone – searching for a bargain at the local thrift store, fishing out at the lake, music festivals, rodeos, or even at the grocery store.  She was a hard worker through and through, never backing down from a job she didn’t know how to do.  “That’s just what we did back then, fix it or go without” she’d say.  Like when my windshield wiper came off while driving in a rainstorm and I called her in a panic.  Mom to the rescue with zip ties and a rag to save me until I got to buy a new windshield wiper.  She would just roll up her sleeves, figure it out, and get it done.  She took a lot of pride in a job well done.  Cindy was a hard-working, driven woman, who knew just the way to fix things.

Cindy worked various jobs through her life including being a cashier at Bun n Bottle, waitressing at City Square Mall, and finally, as a labourer with J&L Mechanical where she was employed for nearly 30 years.

Cindy spent the last few years enjoying being in her back yard with her “hot tub” and her flowers, spending time with her family and friends going on various adventures including camping, kayaking, concerts, rodeos, or just spending time in each others company making memories and laughing.  She also spent a lot of the time the last few years with Leroy out at Palliser Lake fishing (in the boat or on the ice) and more often than not, catching more fish than him.  They would travel to visit family and friends, attend concerts, rodeos, various festivals, and enjoy being in each others company.  Above all, Cindy treasured her family most.  Her children and her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Cindy also loved her siblings deeply and kept a very close relationship with them and was so thankful for all the love and care they gave her.  She really enjoyed spending time with them and looked forward to seeing them every chance she got.

Cindy attended many, many of her granddaughters’ events throughout their lives.  Emily’s baseball and other sports, Camryn’s horse riding, Megan’s school plays, and Laura and Anna’s Grandparents Tea each year.  She faithfully attended all Christmas concerts, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on.  She also cherished camping trips together and was immensely proud to be present for these special moments, always their biggest supporter.

Her absence is already deeply felt and leaves us with immense sorrow.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Tilmon Tyacke, and her infant son, Brandon Tyacke-Tower.  Cindy is survived by her children, Karla (Shawn) Rollie and Ron (Cherise) Tower; granddaughters: Emily, Camryn, Laura, Megan, and Anna; siblings: Ron (Tami) Tyacke, Marie (Gerald) Rehmen, and Darlene (Randy) Cross; many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her devoted partner of four years, Leroy Clark, with whom she shared a life of deep mutual love, laughter, and constant companionship.

A Celebration of Cindy’s life will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.

A special thank you to Drs. Sanderson and Heatherington and Nsofiti, and the nurses on the Medicine Ward at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for their compassion and care, and to the friends and family who have assisted us during this time.

Love you later!

Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Michelle Ellis, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

I met Cindy when I first started work at cp rail. She was always warm and welcoming from the start and every time I seen her we would stop and chat. she truly was a happy person with a glass half full attitude. I always enjoyed our talks. Condolences to the family and Leroy.
