RONALD FREDRICK MICHELL
It is with great sadness the family of Ronald Fredrick Michell announces his passing on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents, Larry and Pat Michell; and brother, Tom Michell. Ron is survived by his nephew, Kyle Michell (Amanda Herring) and their children Ryker, Anna, and Ruby Michell; niece, Ashley Michell (Alyn Ward) and their son Tommy Ward; as well as sister-in-law, Donna Michell. Ron will also be missed by his friends and co-workers, especially life-long friends Kelly and Laurie Wiens, and Bruce and Shari Box.
Those who knew Ron the best knew he had a quiet demeanour and quick-witted sense of humour that will be sadly missed. He loved working outdoors and had a true passion for golf course care and maintenance; he found few things more satisfying than the site and scent of fresh cut green grass. He also had a lifelong love of collecting special and unique treasures, with a particular fondness of Christmas decorations. His elaborate display of antique ornaments became a loved tradition and a highlight of every Michell family Christmas.
The family would like to thank the staff at 3A Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK for the exceptional care they provided Ron over the last couple of weeks.
A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, donations in Ron’s name may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1400 – 522 University Ave, Toronto, ON M5G 2R5 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 55 St Clair Ave W, Suite 300, Toronto, ON M4V 2Y7. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Shirese Noble Funeral Director 306-693-4550
My condolences to Ron’s family. I worked with Ron at prairie south. He was the nicest person and just great to talk to. He will missed.
We in Avonlea have nothing but good memories of Ron, a gentleman and a gentle man. He maintained a beautiful golf course for us and was a great boss.
He was devoted to his family. My deepest condolences to the ones he has left behind.
Very surprised and sorry to see the passing of Ron. I lived in Avonlea when Ron lived out there with his dad, and then when I remarried to Ken Allen, he worked with Ron at Deer Ridge for one season. He was such a nice man and will be missed
