ROBERT GEORGE HAYWARD

March 6th, 1932 – December 11th, 2025 

It is with great sadness the family of Robert George Hayward aged 93 years old of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, announce that he peacefully (in his sleep) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 11th, 2025 at 4:30 p.m., at Pioneer Lodge Prairie View Unit.  He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine (2014).  Robert was a loving, hard working father, survived by Wayne Hayward (Vi and Paul), Barbara Deets (Gerry, Linsey, and Benjamin), June Hayward (Danielle, Allisha, Ryan, and Leah), Grace Hayward (Yasmeen, Anita, and Anthony), Clayton Hayward (Sandy, Amy, Johnathan, Dustin, and Dilan), Helen Tiefenbach (Rick, Trevor, and Tylor), and Brian Hayward (Joy, Victoria, and Nichole); as well over 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Robert also leaves behind his older sisters, Emily Miln (Victoria, BC) and Rita Hayward (Blind Bay, BC).  

We would like to take this opportunity to especially thank the wonderful nurses at Pioneer Lodge – Prairie View section for demonstrating excellent nursing care and compassion towards Robert the entire time he resided as their patient.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Scott Elger will officiate, and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name may be made to Salvation Army Business Office, 175 1st Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0Y9.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

      Uncle Rob was such a wonderful man, so caring, kind and fun. So many special memories of time with the family at all those reunions and visits. Our condolences to all of the family.

    My heart goes out to all of my family, and extended family, for the loss of our dear Grandpa Robert. I will forever cherish my memories with him and spending so much time together on his farm.

    My condolences to all of the family. My Dad (Stan Hayward) was always so pleased when his brother Rob visited us in Victoria. I remember Uncle Rob as a very nice and fun uncle who loved to dance.
