TYLER MITCHELL GARDNER

April 17th, 2000 – November 21st, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tyler Mitchell Gardner aged 25 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Friday, November 21st, 2025.

Tyler was born and raised in Moose Jaw, and he brought so much joy to our lives in the brief time we had with him.  Although he was very quiet, Tyler was quick with humorous jokes and always kept us laughing.  As a kid, he loved doing anything creative, whether it was drawing, Lego, K’nex, Origami, and playing guitar.  In his sports days, he was active in soccer, football, and hockey as he was a natural athlete.  Tyler graduated from high school in 2019 and stepped into adulthood with curiosity and hope.  He worked several jobs over the past few years, exploring different paths as he tried to decide what career he truly wanted to pursue.  He was searching, learning, and building his own way, always trying to find where he fit best in a world that held so many possibilities.

Throughout his life, Tyler enjoyed spending time with friends, video games, longboarding, playing with dogs and cats, fishing at the lake, cards and board games at family gatherings.  This past Thanksgiving, he retired as the Risk champion, and he was sure proud of it.

You could always count on Tyler to be a helping hand whenever you needed him and he never asked for anything in return, as he was happy to help.

His family will hold close the memories, laughter, and moments that made Tyler such an important part of their lives.  Tyler’s impact was immeasurable as he touched lives with kindness, humour, and a spirit that was uniquely his own.  Those who knew him will remember his smile, his warmth, and all the small moments that now feel like treasures.  The best of times was when we were all together, and now without him, it will not be the same.  Tyler, we will always love you dearly.

Tyler will be deeply missed by his mom, Jennifer Gardner; sister, Kaitlyn Parker; father and stepmom, Tommy and Jennifer McLennan; grandparents: Colette McKeen, Corwin and Cindy McLennan, Bob and Lorette Gardner; great baba, Janet Plustwa; as well numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 28th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to gofundme.com and search “In Loving Memory of Tyler Gardner”.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
