RONALD WAYNE FUHR

May 12th, 1951 – November 13th, 2025

With deep sorrow the family of Ronald (Ron) Fuhr announces his passing at the age of 74 years on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 in Moose Jaw, SK with family by his side.

He was predeceased by his wife, Donna; parents, William and Doris; and brother, Gord.  Ron leaves to mourn his daughters, Carrie (Joaquin) and Lori; stepdaughters, Debra and Deana; sister, Wendy; brothers: Gary (Jane), Randy (Donna), and David; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a grandchild and great-grandchildren.

After working for a time in B.C., Ron spent many years as a heavy equipment operator digging dugouts, flood control ditches, and roadways throughout Saskatchewan.  He then worked as a bus driver for the City of Moose Jaw.  Later, he became an owner operator of a semi transporting fuel and other commodities in western Canada and parts of the U.S.  Ron enjoyed his time as a truck driver.  He ended his career staying closer to home while hauling aggregate for Dome Construction and HCL Construction until he retired in 2016.

Ron was known as the favorite uncle.  It was a reputation he worked hard at and greatly deserved.  Ron also readily offered his help and his advice to his brothers.  He could always be relied on for good guidance and an accurate critique.  His brothers knew him for his discerning eye.  He was a great neighbor who had the tools, knew how to use them, and gave of his time freely.  Ron was known to family and friends as a man who loved to talk, tell stories, and share his kindness.  He will be missed by those who knew him.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Cara Ashworth

Randy, Donna and family, please accept my condolences on Ron’s passing. I will miss his humour, and smirk of a smile as he was telling a joke, up to mischief or pointing something out that was amusing to him but to no one else. At the rare coffees we had together through the years I got to know him he became a friend. Roberta and I will keep him and all of you in our prayers.

I am saddened and a bit shocked about cousin Ron’s death. He was an amazing cousin to this pain in the arse younger cousin. He never treated me with anything except respect and humor. I am proud of the fact that I got to call him family and will remember him in all of our encounters with a smile ! The Stewart clan has lost another one of the good ones and my deepest condolences to his immediate family. He will be greeted by all those family members who came before for a good old bullshite session.

Our condolences to Ron’s family. Ron was a great person to know and be around – so full of stories, smiles, jokes. We both helped support each other at times when we had losses of loved ones – something I’ll always be grateful for. I’m sure there are many other people that experienced Ron’s caring and joy of life and are thankful that we’ve been graced his presence here. Look forward to having an extra scoop of ice cream with you in Eternity my friend!

My deepest condolences go out to your family Ron at this very sad time .All my life I have had memories of growing up with the Fuhr family on west end .Your dad was the best milkman there ever was. This is terrible news as I didn’t even know that Gordie was gone. .The longer we live the more heartache. RIP

My condolences to Gary, Wendy, Randy, David and all the families. I was shocked to hear of Ron’s passing. He told the best Uncle Cecil stories. I once asked to borrow a reciprocating saw and he called it the ‘My Saw’. Cecil had sold it to Ron when he needed a little cash inflow and whenever he needed it he would want to ‘get my saw’ back.
You could rely on Ron for anything. I still can see him standing in my kitchen on the morning of Jan. 3/1998 to tell me that my dad had passed at the hospital in Regina. I don’t know how long we stood there as he hugged me and I cried on his shoulder.
Mom and I used to go over to Ron and DJ’s most Saturdays to visit with them and the dogs.
I picture Ron and DJ and those lovable spotted dogs, all together again. Rest in peace cousin.
