Florence Catharine Duckworth
Florence Catharine Duckworth aged 91 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, James; daughter, Barbara; parents, Mary and Peter Pawelko; and siblings: Bob, Jerry, Lucy, Raymond, Mike, and Josephine. Florence will be lovingly remembered by her children: Tim (Pam), Gerry (Jolene), and Eileen (Zenon) Kotowich; siblings, Ed and Dolly; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Florence married James Duckworth on December 23rd, 1953. They lived and farmed at the Courval District before moving to Moose Jaw, SK in 1991. During the years of 1954 – 1965, they welcomed four children.
Florence enjoyed golfing at the Lynbrook Golf Course and playing Whist and Crib and volunteered at Providence Place. Florence loved to bake and was known for her bread, buns, and cinnamon buns.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Rosedale Cemetery. A Time of Fellowship will follow in the lower hall of St. Joseph’s Church, 1064 3rd Ave NW in Moose Jaw. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Florence’s name may be made to the Sandra Schmirler Foundation, 1751 Autumn Ridge Drive, Orleans, ON K1C 6Z2.
