YUANITTA JEAN MORHART
March 3rd, 1962 – October 25th, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yuanitta Jean Morhart (née: LaRocque) aged 63 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, who remained by her side offering comfort and care.
Yuanitta was born on March 3rd, 1962, in Regina, SK to Elizabeth Keller and Archibald LaRocque, both of whom predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her siblings: Reno LaRocque, Monty LaRocque, Joe Klyne, and Marvin Klyne; and by her niece, Kristin LaRocque. Yuanitta will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 31 years, Jason Darrl Morhart (married August 6th, 1994); and by her children: Josh (Candice) Minovitch, Nile Minovitch, and Holly King. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Ethan, Ki-Lynn, Sophie, Alivia, Nitanis, and Morgan, who brought endless joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings: Bonnie (Doug) Schmirler, Mark (Mary) LaRocque, and Telfer LaRocque; as well as her nieces and nephews: Dave, Matthew, Kyle, Riley, Zac, Ashley, Skyla, Colton, Teegan, Evan, Michael, Cody, and Jackie.
Yuanitta lived a life of love, laughter, and community. She earned her Diploma in Computer Information Systems, which led her to a fulfilling career with the Department of Defence and Stonefield Systems Group, where she applied her education and strong work ethic. Beyond her professional life, Yuanitta was deeply involved in her community, proudly taking part in the Red Hat Society – Moose Jaw Violet Vixens, where she formed lifelong friendships and shared countless laughs. Her Roman Catholic faith guided her through life’s ups and downs, and she lived by its values of kindness, generosity, and compassion.
A passionate Saskatchewan Roughriders fan, Yuanitta was a loyal season ticket holder who rarely missed a game — her enthusiasm for the green and white was unmatched. In later years, after facing health challenges, she discovered a new talent for arts and crafts, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and vibrant spirit. Those who knew Yuanitta will remember her as outgoing, thoughtful, and endlessly giving. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome — her home was always open, especially during the holidays when she loved hosting family dinners and ensuring no one ever felt alone. Her quick mind was always racing ahead with new ideas, stories, and plans, while her heart was full of care for others.
A special thank you to the team of nurses and doctors at the Emergency Dept and ICU at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, and a very special thank you Dr. Brandon Thorpe for the years of care and dedication he provided Yuanitta.
