ELIZABETH “BETTY” MARIE RESCH
It is with love and sadness that the family of Elizabeth “Betty” Resch wish to announce her passing on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 in Avonlea, Saskatchewan. Betty was born December 5th, 1930 in Truax, Saskatchewan to Olive and William Pritchett. In 1950 she married Wilfred Resch they settled in Hanley, SK where they raised three daughters – Patricia, Glenda and Lorie.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; daughters, Patricia and Lorie; sons-in-law, Doug Lindsay and John Phillips; and grandson, Jordan Lindsay. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Glenda; grandchildren: Sheenah Lindsay, Morgan Lindsay, Katherine Phillips, John Phillips (Tessa), and Francis Phillips; son-in-law, Gord Lang; and great-grandchildren: Mike, Dean, Angie, and Domonique; sister, June (Joe) Zagozeski; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Betty will be fondly remembered for her sense of humour, thoughtfulness, culinary skills and artistic ability, especially as a seamstress.
For the past ten years Betty lived at Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, SK where she enjoyed a very full and happy life. The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care she received by the staff at the manor.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss,I always enjoyed visits with Betty, she was kind and cheerful lady and made the trip and time at the home brighter, her smile and joy to see you brightened up my day. She will be missed, thoughts and prayers go out to all her family.

It is with a heavy heart that we heard of Betty’s passing. We wish you all our deepest condolences for your loss. Betty was a wonderful and amazing women. We have very fond memories of spending time with Betty and Wilfred over the years. She always had a smile, a kind word and took an interest in what we were doing. We will miss her dearly. We are sorry that we will miss her celebration of life given we are vacationing in Central Europe but we will be with you in thought and prayer.
