We knew Shirley and Jack well in our Chilliwack years. I too was an elementary school teacher and Shirley was always my teacher of choice if I needed a substitute for my class. Some years later we became reacquainted with them when my sister moved into the Primrose at Menno Place in Abbotsford. Our condolences.
Doug and I miss our visits with Shirley… it was wonderful to have spent time with her while in Moose Jaw at the Bentley and then on the hill…we shared so many stories of our days in Chilliwack…
… she was my favourite teacher when I was in grade 3
