Lacerte, Paul Joseph
Paul Joseph Lacerte
Paul Joseph Lacerte aged 75 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026. Paul was born on April 4th, 1951, in Willow Bunch, SK to Damase and Laurianne LaCerte, he was the sixth child of ten.
Paul began his schooling in Willow Bunch before the family moved to Lebret, SK in 1962. After attending school for a few more years, he entered the workforce. Paul started in construction and along with a friend, they owned and operated “Do All Construction” for several years. He later worked independently before joining Graham Construction. While at Graham Construction, Paul worked alongside his brother Dave on the red iron crew before transitioning onto the concrete division. Through dedication and a strong work ethic he advanced within the company and eventually became a supervisor.
In 1979, Paul married Cindy Taylor of Moose Jaw and together they raised three sons, Chad (born 1978), Justin (born 1980), and Michael (born 1987). Although Paul and Cindy later separated, they remained proud parents to their boys. Moose Jaw became Paul’s home where he continued his career with Graham Construction until his retirement. He remained in Moose Jaw until his passing.
Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at his “office”. When he was younger, he spent hours walking coulees, hunting with his dad and his brothers. Then when his boys came along and were old enough, he took them out and taught them to hunt and fish also. Paul loved his summers with his kids and grandkids, camping, boating, and fishing at the lake.
He was predeceased by his parents, Damase (1991) and Laurianne (1984); his former in-laws, Vic Taylor (2006) and Dorothy Taylor (1998); brothers: Leo (1940), Jerry (1968), George (2004), and Dave (2014); nephew, James Moxham (1994); and niece, Vickie Brown (2022). Paul leaves to cherish his memory his sons: Chad (Yuliia, Arseni and Nicole), Justin (Janelle, Kal and Alyssa), and Michael; sisters: Louise, Rita, Jeanne (Bert), Dianne (Mike), and Dora (Reg); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
