Fenwick, Edward Kenneth
Edward Kenneth Fenwick
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Edward Kenneth Fenwick, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who left us on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, at the age of 74 years. Edward, affectionately known as Ed, was born on November 28th, 1951, in the close-knit community of Markinch, Saskatchewan, where he first began to cultivate his life-long love of storytelling.
He was predeceased by his father, Oliver Fenwick; mother, Lorraine Fenwick; and brother, Wade Fenwick. Ed is survived by his loving partner, Emma Patulot; son, Todd Fenwick; daughter, Tara Payne (Corlan); grandsons, Derek Fenwick and Zach Payne; sister-in-law, Caroline Fenwick (Wade); sister, Laura Connors (Cal); brother, Tom Fenwick (Brenda); as well as many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
Ed entered the RCMP as soon as he could after graduating from high school and spent his whole career in British Columbia until his retirement. He then worked odd jobs to keep busy and out of trouble before becoming involved in security in the oil pipeline and mining industry, which brought him back home to Saskatchewan to head up security at K+S Mine north of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Ed loved his family and friends and was always trying to keep in contact through social media, phone calls, and even just dropping in while out riding his bike. He loved to travel on his motorcycle and just this past spring he finally sold his last bike. However, he was looking for other options as his travels and adventures just added more content to his storytelling vault. He had a story for every occasion.
Ed also enjoyed sports. He played many in his younger days – football, baseball, curling, and golf were just some. He loved watching sports as well, especially his Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed watching golf, baseball, hockey, and of course football, so he always had opinions on the latest games and trades. He was a great armchair coach and manager.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for their professionalism in Ed’s time of illness.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Our Lady, located at 566 Vaughan St in Moose Jaw, SK. Father Nestor Gregoire will be the presiding celebrant, and interment will follow at the Moose Jaw Funeral Home Columbarium. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
