Farrell, Elizabeth Anne
Elizabeth Anne Farrell
Elizabeth Anne Farrell of Moose Jaw, SK., passed away at her home on August 14, 2026 at 68 years of age. She had been a resident at High Park Towers for over 20 years. Liz was born in Chilliwack, BC. and was one of five children. Liz was a hard-working girl; she helped her mother and the were quite close. We remember Liz working all summer to buy her younger sister a bicycle. It was a big hit since it had a banana seat, and we could double on it. Liz could make wonderful food, and she loved to keep a beautiful garden. She loved animals, she broke our colt, Dandy and loved her cat, Selena and her farm pet sheep, Emily Anne.
Liz had a son, Jason, with her husband Walter. She was so proud of her son, and he will miss his mother very much.
After Walter passed away, Liz and Jason moved to Moose Jaw. Liz had good fortune to meet a nice man, Henry Penner. They were a couple until his passing a few years ago. Liz loved her scooter and shopping at the Salvation Army. She made many friends throughout the years. Liz had beautiful penmanship. She wrote many letters to her sisters, who just loved to receive them. Jason had the luck of having a wonderful partner, Diane Wright. Liz was very fond of her and even sent her a beautiful card thanking her for being so good to Jason and herself.
Liz was predeceased by her parents, Garfield and Christel Farrell; and brothers, Reuban and Arthur. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Jason (Diane), sisters, Brenda and Heather, both of Cranbrook, BC; Nieces, Christel, Jennifer and Hilary; nephew; Ryan; and great nephews, Bronson, Karson and Wyatt. The family would like to thank everyone at the Dr. F. H Regional Hospital for their care towards Liz and her many friends she made at High Park Towers. Liz believed in God and came through many challenging times in her life. Liz’s journey ended here, but she will be missed by the people that loved her. We hope she has a scooter and a thrift store in Heaven.
A Graveside Service for Liz will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. For friends and family who would like to attend we ask that we meet at the cemetery gates at 12:45. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Michelle Ellis, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
Mother
God made many lovely things,
Sunsets and flowers and trees
Birds and starlight and loyal friends.
And after He made all of these
He gave another gift more rare.
More loving and more true
A wonderful person most fair
A Mother dear as you
From your loving son, Jason
Our sincere condolences to Liz’s family
